Are you ready to start tracing your roots, but really don’t know where to begin? If so, we have the classes for you! Join us for a free four-lecture series where you will learn how to get started on your family genealogy, find information about your ancestors, and how to use census records and other genealogical resources and databases. The last class will feature a speaker knowledgeable about DNA testing and how it can help with figuring out your family tree.

The first three classes will be held on February 17, March 17, and April 21 from 1-2:30 pm at the Goochland County Historical Society Office located at 2875 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia 23063. The final date and time is to be determined. You must register for each class you plan to attend. Seating is limited, so please register early to guarantee a place. To register, call the Goochland County Historical Society at 804-556-3966, 10 am to 3 pm, Wednesday through Friday. The Society will call you back to confirm your registration. If a class has to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, you will be contacted via phone with the new date and time.
